Steganography is the practice of concealing a message within another non-secret, visible message or image to avoid detection. Unlike encryption, which obscures the content of a message, steganography hides the existence of the message itself. This method is not meant to protect the message's content but rather its existence. Tokenization and Data Masking do not hide messages within other media, but instead replace sensitive data with non-sensitive substitutes or alter the representation of data to protect it.
