What layer does a router operate at in the OSI Model?
Routers operate at the Network level, or layer 3 of the OSI Model. This layer includes protocols such as IP, OSPF, RIP, and EIGRP.
In the seven-layer OSI model of computer networking, the network layer is layer 3. The network layer is responsible for packet forwarding including routing through intermediate routers.
