Top-of-rack (ToR) switching is the optimal solution for this scenario. It centralizes the network connections by placing the switch in the top part of the server rack, which then connects to all the servers in the same rack. This design reduces cabling complexity and improves scalability, as adding new servers requires only short-run cabling to the ToR switch instead of running cables all the way to the core or aggregation layer of the network. By contrast, end-of-row and middle-of-row switching would not suit the need to centralize connections within a single rack, and spine-and-leaf architecture, while scalable, goes beyond the specifics of managing a singular rack of servers.
