Clean-agent fire suppression systems-such as those that use FM-200 or other inert/halocarbon gases-rapidly absorb heat or reduce oxygen to stop combustion while leaving no liquid water or particulate residue behind. This fully protects sensitive electronic equipment. Wet-pipe and pre-action sprinklers both ultimately discharge liquid water, which can short-circuit components and promote corrosion.
