You are creating a new workspace in the Power BI service for the Finance department. The reports in the workspace must run on an existing Power BI Premium capacity. In the Create a workspace dialog you do not see any setting to select a capacity. What should you do to ensure the workspace uses the required Premium capacity?
Ask a Power BI administrator to assign the capacity during creation by using the Power BI admin portal.
Complete the workspace creation, then open Workspace settings and assign the Premium capacity on the Premium tab.
Use the PowerShell cmdlet Set-PowerBIWorkspace with a capacity ID parameter while creating the workspace.
Switch to the deprecated classic app workspace experience, which allows capacity selection during creation.
The Create a workspace dialog lets you enter general information but does not include the capacity setting. After the workspace is saved, the workspace owner (or admin) can open Workspace settings, select the Premium tab, and move the workspace to any available capacity. Classic app workspaces are deprecated, the admin portal cannot assign capacity at creation time, and the Set-PowerBIWorkspace cmdlet can assign capacity only to an existing workspace, not while it is being created.
