Costs related to physical security measures on-premises would decrease because AWS provides strong security measures at their data centers, which are part of their shared responsibility model. The customer does not directly incur the cost of physical security measures for data centers, as this is handled by AWS. Capital expenditures would also be reduced since AWS operates on an operational expenditure model. However, AWS manages security at their facilities, not the individual physical servers used by a customer, which remain the customer's responsibility to manage and secure under the shared responsibility model. Hardware maintenance is also lowered because AWS is responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure. Power consumption costs decrease too, but these are not unique to physical security measures.
