The service designed to provide a history of activities taken within a cloud environment through the use of API calls and resource changes is known as CloudTrail. It enables compliance, operational auditing, and risk auditing by retaining and continuously monitoring account activity. While Config is used for configuration history and inventory, Inspector is for security assessments, and Security Hub for security and compliance management, only CloudTrail specializes in storing logs of actions for governance and audit purposes.
