First Up: CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601) Complete Course & Exam

Jason Dion's Security+ SY0-601 course is our first recommendation because of his passion for the topic and excellent quality. This course has a rating of 4.7/5 (32k ratings) and over 122,000 students at the time of this post. Jason is a well known instructor for CompTIA and other IT certifications and this course looks to be the best-seller by a long shot, we highly recommend checking this one out. The course covers all of the SY0-601 objectives and includes 21 hours of vide content with practice questions and quizzes for each chapter.

Second Pick: TOTAL: CompTIA Security+ Certification (SY0-601)

This course is everything you need to pass the CompTIA Security+ (SY0-601) exam from Mike Meyers and Dan Lachance. Mike is the author and president of Total Seminars including many CompTIA training courses and books, for this course he has also brought in Security expert and consultant Dan Lachance. The two will cover all of the topics in the SY0-601 exam and provide different angles and ideas on the subjects of the certificate. The course has a Rating: 4.6/5 (3k ratings) and over 18,000 students enrolled to-date. If you are looking for a fun experience to keep things interesting that includes certified experts, this course is a great choice.

CompTIA Security+ Get Certified Get Ahead: SY0-601 Study Guide by Darril Gibson is our first recommendation for Security+ SY0-601 books. The book is a top seller, well written and covers all of the Security+ SY0-601 objectives. It also includes practices questions, hands on labs and downloadable extras on command line tooling, acronyms and more.

Unfortunately at the time of writing this recommendation the only shipping option is around 2 weeks, so if you are looking for an alternative that may ship faster check out CompTIA Security+ All-in-One Exam Guide by Wm. Arthur Conklin and Greg White . We chose Darril Gibson's book because it is the one we used here at Crucial Exams and found it to be excellent, however the All-in-One series is another one we regularly recommend and is excellent quality. It includes content on all of the exam objectives and 250 practice questions organized by domain.
